Danny Boyle is back. And hot dang, this might be his most fascinating effort yet.
Watch the exciting first trailer for "Trance," the Oscar-winning director's hypnotic thriller starring James McAvoy as an art auctioneer who gets mixed up with a ruthless crew of art thieves (led by Vincent Cassel) for a high-stakes caper involving the robbery of a valuable painting. But when McAvoy unexpectedly gets punched in the head during the job, he suddenly can't remember where he hid the stolen painting. Now with his life on the line, he's forced to enlist the help of a hypnotherapist (Rosario Dawson) to unlock his fragile memories. Unfortunately, the sessions will lead to more questions than answers.
The movie, written by John Hodge (Trainspotting) and Joe Ahearne (TVs Doctor Who), will be opening in the UK on March 27th. A US release should follow, though an official release date has not been announced.
synopsis:
A fine art auctioneer (James McAvoy) mixed up with an underworld gang (Vincent Cassel) joins forces with a charismatic hypnotherapist (Rosario Dawson) to recover a lost painting. As boundaries between desire, reality and hypnotic suggestion begin to blur the stakes rise faster and more dangerously than any of the players could have anticipated.
