You might've been a little too tipsy to notice. But during the major network's coverage of New Year's Eve, a couple of New Year-themed TV spots for "Oz: The Great and Powerful" premiered last night. It's the first commercials to be released for director Sam Raimi's upcoming fantasy flick, starring James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams. But don't fret if you missed it because Disney was kind enough to release these spots online. So, enjoy and partake in a little witchy magic for this new year. Take a look, above.

Devised as a prequel to the classic "The Wizard of Oz," the 3D feature depicts the story of how a small-time Kansas magician (played by Franco) became the great and powerful wizard that oversaw the illustrious Emerald City. The movie is currently slated to open in theaters on March 8th.

When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he's hit the jackpot -- fame and fortune are his for the taking -- that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity -- and even a bit of wizardry -- Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.
