To the Wonder — International Trailer #2

Are you dying for another look at Terrence Malick's latest film? Well, here you go! It's a brand-new international trailer (this time from France) and it gives us a second captivating peek at Malick's poetic drama "To the Wonder," starring Olga Kurylenko and Ben Affleck as a young couple whose marriage begins to fall apart after moving to a small American town. This new preview offers some new footage, notably concerning Rachel McAdams who appears in the movie as a hometown girl who starts a love affair with Affleck's married character. Javier Bardem is again seen as a priest who seemingly loves to ponder in long cryptic sermons about love and lost. While Kurylenko is beautifully filmed as she dances around in shopping markets, and mud-flat beaches.

The film, which is considered to be a companion piece to Malick's previous opus "Tree of Life," has the reclusive filmmaker examining the meaning of love, life and spirituality. So, in other words, it's another typical Terrence Malick movie. You can catch this one when it hits theaters on April 12th.

Neil (Ben Affleck) is a man who is torn between two loves: Marina (Olga Kurylenko), the European woman who comes to United States to be with him, and Jane (Rachel McAdams), the old flame he reconnects with from his hometown. Neil's doubts about his life and loves are reflected in the crisis of faith experienced by Father Quintana (Javier Bardem), who only sees pain and the loss of hope in the world.
