It appears apartment buildings in England are getting a bad rap these days. When they're not getting invaded by hostile alien creatures (Attack the Block) or taken over by a gang of twisted feral children (Citadel), they seem to be the perfect breeding ground for murdering psychopaths. Case in point: this trailer for the small-budget British horror "Comedown," which follows a music-loving group of teens as they break into an abandoned tower block and broadcast a live pirate radio station. The party really gets going when these wannabe DJs discover a serial killer is lurking around -- and he doesn't look too happy about their playlist. Hey, they better take requests, fast!
Directed by British TV / film helmer Menhaj Huda (Kidulthood), the movie stars Jessica Barden, Adam Deacon, Sophie Stuckey, Jacob Anderson, and Calum MacNab. It will debut on Blu-Ray/DVD on January 28th (in the UK).
Six friends, who've known each other from childhood, break into the tower block they lived in as kids, now deserted and condemned, to rig-up a pirate radio station, get high and party. When one of the group goes missing, her friends begin to search the dark interior of the tower and soon realize that they are not alone: a resident psychopath lurks in the shadows and is hunting them down, taking them out, one-by-one.
