Can a movie about a surprise drug intervention among two friendly yokels be strangely eerie, darkly comical, and also genuinely trippy? Well, after watching the trailer for the upcoming indie thriller "Resolution," the answer is, "hell yeah!" The film comes from directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead and it seems they have created a unique mind-warping tale that starts with good intentions, but ends wonderfully spooky.

Starring Peter Cilella and Vinny Curran, the film begins when a good-nature guy named Mike (Cilella) decides to intervene and help his buddy Chris (Curran) kick drugs for a week. While Mike's plan involves handcuffing Chris to a pipe while they both stay in his isolated cabin for days, he didn't anticipate the unexplained events that would entail with his visit. For instance, bizarre noises and mysterious videotapes containing brutal imagery. Catch the movie when it comes to iTunes and VOD on January 23rd.

synopsis:
Michael (Peter Cilella) is committed to getting his best friend Chris (Vinny Curran) to sober up and get his life back on track. But what begins as an attempt to save his friend's life quickly takes an unexpected turn as the two friends confront personal demons, the consequences of past actions, and forces beyond their control. Expertly balancing dark humor with genuine thrills and unexpected pathos, Resolution is an utterly unique cinematic experience that defies genre classification.
