Interest has never been greater for Kathryn Bigelow's military thriller "Zero Dark Thirty." The movie has won a ton of rave reviews, and just today earned four Golden Globe Nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Jessica Chastain. However, if that's not enough to grab your attention, well this just might: It's a newly-released final trailer, which seems to focus more of Chastain's real-life CIA agent (who in the movie goes by the fictitious name, "Maya"). According to screenwriter Mark Boal's extensive research, this tenacious female analyst was the leading force behind the decade-long manhunt for Osama bin Laden.
We might know how it ended, but in Bigelow's dramatization of these events, we will have a clearer picture of this seemingly tight-lipped military mission. "Zero Dark Thirty" opens in limited release on December 19th, followed with a wider release on January 11th.
For a decade, an elite team of intelligence and military operatives, working in secret across the globe, devoted themselves to a single goal: to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden. Zero Dark Thirty reunites the Oscar(R) winning team of director-producer Kathryn Bigelow and writer-producer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) for the story of history's greatest manhunt for the world's most dangerous man.
