Upstream Color — Teaser Trailer

added: Tue, Dec 4th '12

If you're a fan of 2004's time-traveling indie "Primer," then it's likely you have been waiting patiently for filmmaker Shane Carruth's follow-up film. Good news, the wait is almost over. Carruth's "Upstream Color," the new head scratcher that centers on a perplexing love story with twisty sci-fi elements, is slated to debut in January at the Sundance Film Festival, followed by a theatrical release in March.

And better yet, Carruth has just released this teaser trailer -- and as you might expect, the preview is brimming with eye-catching imagery, while showing no signs of the actual story. It does however prove that Carruth has the special ability to keep his fans captivated. Could his second movie effort propel him into the director ranks of, say, Darren Aronofsky? We certainty think, and hope, so.

A man and woman are drawn together, entangled in the life cycle of an ageless organism.
