Check out this new 60-second TV spot for Quentin Tarantino's upcoming spaghetti western "Django Unchained," starring Jamie Foxx as a chain-gang slave who gets rescued by Dr. King Schultz, (Christoph Waltz), a traveling dentist and bounty hunter. After agreeing to train Django as a fellow fugitive pursuer, Schultz helps his new unorthodox apprentice by tracking down his long-lost wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) who has unfortunately fallen under the ownership of a wicked plantation owner (played by Leonardo DiCaprio).
This spot aired sometime last week, and it seems to be a 60-second breakdown version of the newest official trailer which was released last month. "Django Unchained" is set to open in theaters, starting on Christmas Day.
synopsis:
Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award(R)-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award(R)-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles--dead or alive.
