Beautiful Creatures — Trailer #2

added: Thu, Nov 15th '12

Here in this corner, we have a new challenger for the Twilight crown! It's called "Beautiful Creatures" and they have unveiled a brand-new trailer, which actually shows us that teen witches (sorry, "casters") have many love problems too. Watch up-and-comer Alice Englert (who, by the way, is the daughter of director Jane Campion) as Lena Duchannes, a young sorcerer who has foolishly started a forbidden love affair with a local high school boy (played by Alden Ehrenreich). The problem is, there's only 75 days left until her sixteenth birthday. That's when they'll finally learn if Lena's fate will lean towards the side of good or the side of evil.

Co-starring Emmy Rossum, Emma Thompson and Jeremy Irons, the movie is based on the popular Gothic teen books by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, and has been adapted by writer-director Richard LaGravenese. "Beautiful Creatures" opens on February 13th.

A supernatural love story set in the South, "Beautiful Creatures" tells the tale of two star-crossed lovers: Ethan (Alden Ehrenreich), a young man longing to escape his small town, and Lena (Alice Englert), a mysterious new girl. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town.
