Sorry Barbara Walters, but it appears Lindsay Lohan likes to keep some of her life private. Well, at least, her character explains this sentiment in the new retro-inspired teaser for her upcoming trashy film noir, "The Canyons." Lohan -- who apparently really pissed off Walters recently -- stars as a "sensuous woman" caught in a dangerous love-triangle in this Kickstarter-funded feature from director Paul Schrader (Auto Focus, Affliction), and writer Bret Easton Ellis (author of American Psycho).
And if you ask us, this new trailer, which intentionally plays like a 50's spoof, will not change the hearts and minds of Lohan haters. In fact, it got us scratching our heads: Why the hell did Paul Schrader agree to direct this? And why the best acting we've seen so far is coming from porn star James Deen?
It's not The Hills... THE CANYONS is a contemporary L.A. noir from director Paul Schrader, writer Bret Easton Ellis, and producer Braxton Pope about the dangers of sexual obsession and ambition, both personally and professionally, among a group of young people in their 20's and how one chance meeting connected to the past unravels all of their lives, resulting in deceit, paranoia, cruel mind games and ultimately violence.
