Get ready for more mischief in "Despicable Me 4," the latest installment in Illumination's beloved franchise, counting the popular "Minions" spinoffs among its successes. Check out a new official trailer for a sneak peek.

Steve Carrell returns to voice Gru, the once-evil mastermind turned devoted family man, with Kristen Wiig reprising her role as Lucy, Gru's partner in crime. Alongside them are their daughters Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier), and Agnes (Madison Polan), adapting to life with the newest addition to the family, baby Gru Jr. However, their domestic bliss is disrupted when Gru learns of a looming threat, forcing them to seek refuge in their safe house. The danger arises from Gru's former colleague, the sinister Maxime Le Mal (voiced by Will Ferrell), who seeks revenge after escaping from prison.

Joining the voice cast is Sofia Vergara from "Modern Family," lending her voice to Maxime Le Mal's dangerous girlfriend, Valentina. The film also features voice talents from Joey King, Stephen Colbert, Chloe Fineman, with Pierre Coffin returning as the Minions and Steve Coogan as Silas Ramsbottom.

Directed by franchise veteran Chris Renaud, with a screenplay by Mike White ("White Lotus") and Ken Daurio (known for the "Despicable Me" franchise), and co-directed by Patrick Delage ("Sing 2"), "Despicable Me 4" is set to hit theaters on July 3rd.

In the first Despicable Me movie in seven years, Gru, the world's favorite supervillain-turned-Anti-Villain League-agent, returns for an exciting, bold new era of Minions mayhem in Illumination’s Despicable Me 4. Following the 2022 summer blockbuster phenomenon of Illumination's Minions: The Rise of Gru, which earned almost $1 billion worldwide, the biggest global animated franchise in history now begins a new chapter as Gru (Oscar nominee Steve Carrell) and Lucy (Oscar nominee Kristen Wiig) and their girls -- Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier) and Agnes (Madison Polan) -- welcome a new member to the Gru family, Gru Jr., who is intent on tormenting his dad.
