It's the onscreen pairing of 50 Cent and Mel Gibson. Enough said. Here's the official trailer for the new crime thriller "Boneyard," where rapper-turned-actor Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson plays a police chief determined to crack a chilling murder case. Joining forces with him is the seasoned FBI criminal profiler played by none other than Mel Gibson. Alongside Jackson and Gibson, the film also stars Brian Van Holt ("Den of Thieves") and Nora Zehetner ("Brick") as a pair of dedicated homicide detectives.

Based on real events, the story kicks off with the shocking discovery of human remains buried in an unmarked grave in the New Mexico desert, including eleven women and an unborn child. It sends shockwaves through law enforcement. As the investigation intensifies, the police department enlists the expertise of a seasoned FBI agent known for his work on serial murder cases. The homicide team soon realizes they're up against a killer whose motives defy conventional understanding. He might be a killer who believes he's cleansing the world, and "making the world a better place" with each murders. And there might be a twist: the culprit may be closer than they think, he could very well be an undercover cop.

Directed by prolific B-movie genre filmmaker Asif Akbar (MR-9: Do or Die, The Commando), "Boneyard" is set to open in select theaters starting July 5th, with VOD release set for July 2nd.
