Netflix has released a brand-new trailer for "Atlas," the sci-fi action-thriller starring Jennifer Lopez alongside Sterling K. Brown, Mark Strong, and Simu Liu. Directed by Brad Peyton ("San Andreas" and "Rampage"), the film is set in a future world ravaged by a brutal conflict between humans and artificial intelligence.
Lopez stars as Atlas Shepherd, a brilliant data analyst and agent who harbors a deep animosity towards A.I. technology. However, when a spaceship malfunction leaves her stranded on a volatile planet, Atlas must reluctantly rely on artificial intelligence to survive. Enter "SMITH," the computer program that operates her formidable tech suit. Atlas must set aside her fear of technology and collaborate with "SMITH" to navigate the treacherous terrain and pursue her mission to track down the elusive A.I. robot named Harlan, played by Simu Liu of "Barbie" fame.
"Atlas" promises to deliver pulse-pounding action and breathtaking special effects when it premieres on Netflix on May 24th. Watch the new trailer, above.
