If you're searching for a "Yellowstone" alternative to tide you over until the next season, this new film might just do the trick. And guess what? Forrie J. Smith, known for his role as Lloyd in "Yellowstone," makes an appearance in the cast as a veteran bull rider.

Check out the official trailer for "Ride," a new indie thriller set in the world of professional bull riding. C. Thomas Howell ("The Outsiders") takes the lead alongside Annabeth Gish (Netflix's "Midnight Mass") and Jake Allyn (Amazon's "The Baxters"), who not only stars but also directs and co-writes the film.

In "Ride," Howell portrays a retired bull rider facing a dire situation: he needs money for his daughter's cancer treatment. To solve his dilemma, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son (Allyn) for a local heist, but things take a dangerous turn, catching the attention of the authorities.

Jake Allyn, who previously starred in and wrote the 2020 border thriller "No Man's Land," marks his directorial debut with "Ride."

Catch "Ride" in theaters and on VOD starting June 14th.
