In order to survive, a computer-phobic agent must trust an A.I. operating system to pilot a large tech suit to get off an unstable hostile planet. "Atlas" stars Jennifer Lopez as the said luddite, and it has received its official full-length trailer.

In the upcoming Netflix original film set in a futuristic world torn apart by a devastating war between humans and artificial intelligence, Lopez portrays Atlas Shepherd, a brilliant data analyst and agent who holds deep hatred toward A.I. technology. Atlas undertakes a secret mission to track down a dangerous A.I. robot named Harlan, portrayed by "Barbie" actor Simu Liu, with whom she shares a mysterious past. However, when confronted with a spaceship malfunction that strands her on a volatile planet, Atlas finds herself reluctantly dependent on the very thing she fears: artificial intelligence. Or rather, "SMITH," the computer program that operates her tank-like tech suit.

The action sci-fi film is directed by Brad Peyton, known for his work on effects-laden blockbusters like "San Andreas" and "Rampage." He also directed the Jason Momoa-starring action thriller "Sweet Girl" for Netflix. Peyton also co-created Netflix's short-lived post-apocalyptic teen horror comedy series "Daybreak."

Joining Lopez in the cast are recent Oscar nominee Sterling K. Brown, Mark Strong, Lana Parrilla, and Abraham Popoola.

"Atlas" is due to premiere on Netflix on May 24th.
