Discover the early origins of Optimus Prime and Megatron before they became the iconic Transformers fighting on Earth.

In "Transformers One," a new animated sci-fi action film based on the popular Hasbro franchise, Chris Hemsworth lends his voice to a young version of Optimus Prime, known then as "Orion Pax." Get a taste of Hemsworth's voice talents in the film's debut trailer, marking the eighth installment in Paramount's "Transformers" film series.

Hemsworth is joined by Brian Tyree Henry as the voice of a young Megatron, known simply as "D-16." The voice cast boasts a stellar lineup, including Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Jon Hamm, Laurence Fishburne, and Steve Buscemi.

Set on the distant planet Cybertron, the animated film takes place during a time when Optimus Prime and Megatron are still finding their footing, yet to fully master their transformation abilities. The story delves into the evolving relationship between Optimus Prime, or Orion Pax, and Megatron, dubbed D-16, as they transition from comrades to bitter adversaries.

Josh Cooley directs this upcoming "Transformers" film. Cooley is a former Pixar animator known for directing the Oscar-winning sequel "Toy Story 4" and writing and directing the animated short "Riley's First Date?" He also co-wrote the Pixar blockbuster "Inside Out."

"Transformers One" gears up for a theatrical release on September 20th, promising an exciting journey into the genesis of these legendary Transformers characters.
