Netflix has released the official teaser trailer for the third and final season of "Sweet Tooth," the post-apocalyptic fantasy series adapted from Jeff Lemire's acclaimed DC/Vertigo comic book.
In a world grappling with the aftermath of a mysterious global viral outbreak, humanity has been devastated, paving the way for a new generation of human-animal hybrids.
Christian Convery, from "Cocaine Bear," takes the lead as Gus, a hybrid deer boy affectionately called "Sweet Tooth." Joining him is Nonso Anozie from "Game of Thrones," portraying Tommy "Big Man" Jepperd, a rugged traveler and former football star. Together, they embark on a perilous journey across a virus-ridden America, pursued by the army of "Last Men," led by General Abbot (played by Neil Sandilands), who's hell-bent on capturing all hybrid children to exploit their DNA for a fleeting cure.
The show also sees the return of Stefania LaVie Owen as Bear, a fierce young warrior fighting to protect hybrids, and Adeel Akhtar as Dr. Aditya Singh, a doctor desperate for a breakthrough cure. Plus, James Brolin is back as the narrator.
Executive produced by Susan Downey and Robert Downey Jr. under their production banner Team Downey, "Sweet Tooth" gears up for its grand finale, premiering exclusively on Netflix on June 6th. Watch the teaser trailer, above.
