One of the most buzz-worthy horror films set to release this summer might just be a new serial killer thriller starring Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage. It's called "Longlegs," and Neon Films, the distributor behind this new horror thriller, are keeping horror fans on their toes with a series of tantalizing teasers that leave viewers craving more. Neon has released yet another official teaser for "Longlegs," providing a small tantalizing glimpse.

Though details about the film are shrouded in secrecy, here's what we've managed to uncover: "Longlegs" is both written and directed by horror maestro Osgood "Oz" Perkins, son of the late "Psycho" actor Anthony Perkins. Perkins has already made his mark with cult favorites like "Gretel & Hansel," "The Blackcoat's Daughter," and "I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House," but "Longlegs" appears poised to catapult him to even greater heights.

In the upcoming film, Maika Monroe, of "It Follows" fame, stars as a FBI agent tasked with cracking a cold case. However, her investigation takes a sinister turn when she stumbles upon evidence suggesting a serial killer with ties to the occult. As she plunges deeper into the mystery, she discovers unsettling connections to the murders, intensifying her pursuit of the elusive killer. While Nicolas Cage's character is rumored to be the enigmatic perpetrator, details about his role remain shrouded in mystery. The cast also includes Alicia Witt and Blair Underwood.

Neon's clever marketing strategy has kept audiences intrigued, sparking anticipation through a carefully crafted social media campaign. "Longlegs" is slated to hit theaters this summer, beginning on July 12th. Watch the new teaser, above.
