Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons portrays a cold-hearted psychopath who kills with impunity in the trailer for "You Can't Run Forever."

In this new suspense thriller, a young woman (played by Isabelle Anaya) finds herself plunged into a terrifying ordeal as she's relentlessly pursued through the wilderness by a calculating and cold-blooded serial killer, portrayed by Simmons. But what drives him to commit such heinous acts? It appears that the killer is driven by an insatiable craving for "the thrill of the chase," making him not only deadly but also utterly unpredictable.

Co-starring Fernanda Urrejola, Allen Leech, Graham Patrick Martin, and Olivia Simmons, the film is directed and co-written by indie filmmaker Michelle Schumacher, who happens to be J.K. Simmons' wife. The duo previously collaborated on the 2017 drama "I'm Not Here," where Simmons starred and Schumacher served as co-writer and director.

"You Can't Run Forever" is set to hit select theaters and VOD platforms on May 17th.
