Check out the official U.S. trailer for the Australian crime mystery miniseries "Scrublands," starring Luke Arnold ("Black Sails," "Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS"), Jay Ryan ("It: Chapter Two"), Bella Heathcote ("The Man in the High Castle"), and veteran actor Robert Taylor ("Longmire").

The four-episode investigative thriller is based on Chris Hammer's best-selling novel. It revolves around an investigative newspaper reporter tasked with covering the one-year anniversary of a devastating mass shooting in a small rural Australian town. The incident, in which a priest (portrayed by Jay Ryan) calmly opens fire on his congregation, resulting in the deaths of five parishioners, sends shockwaves through the community. Luke Arnold takes on the role of the journalist, who initially plans to write a commemorative piece but uncovers unexpected clues that lead to a much larger story. As the journalist delves deeper, he unravels the truth behind the tragic shooting.

Greg McLean, the acclaimed Australian director behind cult horror thrillers such as "Wolf Creek" and "The Belko Experiment," directed all four episodes of the miniseries. The show aired in November last year in Australia.

"Scrublands" is poised to make its US debut, hitting the streaming platforms AMC Plus and Sundance Now starting May 2nd. Meanwhile, viewers can catch a glimpse of the official U.S. trailer above.
