Two lifelong friends turn to each other for support as they each embark on their own pregnancy journeys. Check out the official trailer for the upcoming pregnancy comedy "Babes," starring New York comediennes Ilana Glazer ("Broad City") and Michelle Buteau ("Survival of the Thickest").

Co-written by Glazer and Buteau, they star as childhood best friends Eden and Dawn. When carefree and single Eden opts to embark on the journey of motherhood after a spontaneous one-night stand, her friendship with Dawn encounters its biggest test yet. Dawn, who has recently experienced pregnancy herself, offers her support while adding her own unique and humorous perspective to the situation. The film offers a humorous and heartwarming take on the joys and challenges of pregnancy and friendship.

The film, which premiered to strong reviews at this year's SXSW film festival, marks the feature directorial debut of comic and voice actress Pamela Adlon. While she is widely recognized as the voice of Bobby Hill in "King of the Hill," Adlon is also known as the creator, writer, and star of the acclaimed FX comedy series "Better Things." She also directed numerous episodes of that show.

In addition to Glazer and Buteau, the cast includes John Carroll Lynch, Hasan Minhaj, Stephan James, Oliver Platt, Kenny and Keith Lucas, and Sandra Bernhard.

"Babes" is due out in theaters on May 17th. Watch the trailer above.
