Brooke Shields shares the screen with Benjamin Bratt and Miranda Cosgrove in the upcoming Netflix romantic comedy, "Mother of the Bride," which recently released its official trailer.

In the film, Shields takes on the titular role of Lana, a devoted mother preparing for her daughter's wedding at a gorgeous tropical island resort. However, Lana's world is turned upside down when she arrives for the wedding festivities and realizes that the groom's father is someone from her past -- someone she had dated decades ago. He was her first love. Now, those long-dormant romantic feelings start to resurface, causing quite a stir at the wedding.

Miranda Cosgrove steps into the role of Shields's daughter, on the brink of marriage, while Benjamin Bratt portrays Shields's former flame and the father of the groom. Other cast members include Sean Teale, Rachael Harris, Chad Michael Murray, Michael McDonald, and Wilson Cruz.

The Netflix film is written by Robin Bernheim, the writer of the Netflix rom-com "The Princess Switch," and directed by Mark Waters, the director of the hit comedies "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday."

Just in time for Mother's Day, "Mother of the Bride" debuts on May 9th on Netflix.
