Michael Keaton is back! And he's returning to the role that skyrocketed him to fame, teaming up once again with director Tim Burton. But no, this time it's not Batman. It's the other iconic Michael Keaton character: Beetlejuice!
Get ready to check out the very first official teaser trailer for "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," the highly anticipated and long-awaited sequel to the 1988 supernatural comedy featuring the mischievous, fast-talking ghost (with the most) known as "Betelgeuse," who is summoned by saying his name three times.
Winona Ryder ("Stranger Things") also makes a comeback, reprising her role as Lydia Deetz, the quirky goth misfit who first crossed paths with Beetlejuice over three decades ago. But now, Lydia is back in her hometown of Connecticut following a sudden family loss. Lydia reunites with her conceptual artistic mother, Delia, portrayed once again by comic legend Catherine O'Hara ("Schitt's Creek"), and her teenage daughter, Astrid, portrayed by "Wednesday" breakout star Jenna Ortega. Together, they find themselves facing off against the infamous Beetlejuice in a battle of wits and supernatural antics.
In addition to Keaton, Ryder, O'Hara, and Ortega, the cast includes Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, Arthur Conti, Burn Gorman, and Filipe Cates.
Written by "Wednesday" showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and directed by Tim Burton (his first feature film since 2019's "Dumbo"), "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" is slated to hit theaters on September 6th.
