Netflix has released the official full-length trailer for "Parasyte: The Grey," an all-new Korean thriller series that promises a chilling fusion of sci-fi and horror, complete with monstrous special effects.
Brought to audiences by Yeon Sang-ho, the acclaimed director behind the breakout zombie film "Train to Busan" and the mastermind behind Netflix's supernatural horror series "Hellbound," "Parasyte: The Grey" is a spin-off adapted from Hitoshi Iwaaki's beloved manga "Parasyte."
Set in a world besieged by parasitic aliens, the series depicts grotesque tentacles emerging from human hosts. Korean actress Jeon So-nee leads the cast as a young woman thrust into a perilous confrontation with these invaders. As she grapples with her newfound reality, she becomes a human host to a mysterious parasite that fuses with her body, unleashing a lethal tentacle from her face.
Previously, the "Parasyte" manga inspired successful live-action films in Japan and also an anime series. "Parasyte: The Grey" is poised to captivate global audiences when it premieres exclusively on Netflix on April 5th. Watch the full trailer, above.
