Samuel L. Jackson takes on the challenge of catching a serial killer in the official trailer for the new twisty cat-and-mouse thriller "Damaged."

Set against the murky atmospheric backdrop of Scotland, the film pairs Samuel L. Jackson with French actor Vincent Cassel, known for his roles in "Black Swan" and "Eastern Promises," as two detectives grappling with their haunting pasts. Jackson takes on the role of Dan Lawson, a veteran Chicago police detective summoned to lead an investigation into a series of brutal killings in Scotland, with strikingly reminiscent patterns of a case he handled years ago. With time ticking away, the detectives race against the clock to apprehend the elusive killer before another victim falls prey.

Joining Jackson and Cassel, the cast includes Gianni Capaldi, Laura Haddock, John Hannah, Kate Dickie, and Brian McCardie.

The detective thriller is directed by Terry McDonough, best known for directing numerous episodes of TV dramas like "Breaking Bad," "Better Call Saul," and "Killing Eve."

"Damaged" is scheduled to be released in select theaters and on VOD on April 12th.
