Check out the official trailer for "Renegade Nell," Disney's latest action-adventure series created and written by BAFTA-winning writer Sally Wainwright ("Happy Valley"). Set against the backdrop of 18th century England, the show seamlessly intertwines historical events with fantastical and fairy tale elements, chronicling the exploits of a daring female highwayman on the lam.

Leading the ensemble cast is Irish actress Louisa Harland, from "Derry Girls," portraying the title character, Renegade Nell Jackson. A blend of wit and bravery, Nell finds herself unjustly accused of murder, thrust into the unexpected role of the most infamous outlaw in 18th-century England. However, Nell's journey takes an extraordinary turn when she encounters the enigmatic spirit, Billy Blind, played by Nick Mohammed of "Ted Lasso" fame, revealing a destiny beyond her wildest imagination.

Joining the stellar lineup are Frank Dillane, Alice Kremelberg, Enyi Okoronkwo, Jake Dunn, Bo Bragason, Florence Keen, alongside Joely Richardson and Adrian Lester.

The series premiere is helmed by seasoned television director Ben Taylor, recognized for directing several episodes on acclaimed series such as Netflix's "Sex Education" and Amazon's "Catastrophe." Additionally, Amanda Brotchie and MJ Delaney contribute their directorial talents to various episodes of this eight-part series.
