Amazon Studios has released the official trailer for "The Baxters," the new streaming series adapted from Karen Kingsbury's popular faith-centered books, the "Redemption" series, spotlighting a family shaken by an internal scandal.

Executive produced by showrunner Jessie Rosen, the series boasts a robust ensemble cast, with Roma Downey ("Touched by an Angel") taking the lead as the family's matriarch, Elizabeth Baxter, and Ted McGinley ("Shrinking," "Married with Children") playing her husband, John Baxter.

The storyline revolves around Elizabeth and John's daughter, Kari (portrayed by Ali Cobrin), who uncovers the startling truth about her professor husband, Tim (played by Brandon Hirsch), engaged in a secret affair with one of his students. As Kari's relationship undergoes trials, she seeks solace in her faith and family, questioning the nature of love and whether her marriage can find redemption.

The cast also includes Masey McLain, Josh Plasse, Cassidy Gifford, Reilly Anspaugh, Emily Peterson, Brandon Hirsch, with guest appearances by Kathie Lee Gifford, Jake Allyn, Damien Leake, and Orel De La Mota.
