Netflix has released the official trailer for "Heart of the Hunter," a new, upcoming thriller packed with action and suspense, adapted from the book by South African author Deon Meyer ("Devil's Peak" and "Hunting Emma").

Taking place in a post-democratic South Africa, the movie features Bonko Khoza, a South African actor from "The Woman King" and the series "Red Ink," portraying Zuko Khumalo, a seemingly ordinary family man with a hidden and dangerous past. His peaceful life gets flipped upside down when an old friend asks him to fulfill a promise and safeguard the nation from corrupt political forces. The stakes skyrocket as he tries to avoid getting sucked back into his former life, realizing the danger it poses to his family life and dreams of tranquility.

Joined by Masasa Mbangeni, Tim Theron, Deon Coetzee, Peter Butler, Sisanda Henna, and Connie Chiume, the Netflix flick is directed by Mandlakayise Walter Dube, known for the acclaimed Netflix South African thriller "Silverton Siege."

"Heart of the Hunter" hits Netflix screens starting March 29th.
