Check out the official final trailer for "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire," the highly anticipated sequel to Jason Reitman's 2021 installment, "Ghostbusters: Afterlife." Serving as the fifth chapter in the beloved "Ghostbusters" film series, this time around, the ghost-busting action returns to its roots in the streets of New York City.

Once again, the story centers on the Spengler family. Carrie Coon ("The Leftovers") reprises her role as Callie Spengler, daughter of Egon, while Mckenna Grace ("I, Tonya") and Finn Wolfhard ("Stranger Things") return as her children and Egon's grandchildren, Phoebe and Trevor, respectively.

In this latest adventure, Callie, Phoebe, and Trevor venture back to the iconic New York City firehouse, the birthplace of the Ghostbusters' legacy. There, they unite with the original Ghostbusters team, played by franchise veterans Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts. Together, they face the looming threat of the "death chill," a supernatural phenomenon capable of plunging the world into a catastrophic Ice Age by freezing everything in its path.

Paul Rudd reprises his role as science teacher Gary Grooberson, now a member of the Ghostbusters team. Logan Kim and Celeste O'Connor also return as Podcast and Lucky, while new additions to the ensemble include Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind. Additionally, original "Ghostbusters" actor William Atherton returns as the bull-headed New York bureaucrat Walter Peck.

Stepping into the director's chair this time is Gil Kenan ("Monster House," "City of Ember"), taking over from Reitman, who remains involved as a producer. Kenan collaborates with Reitman on the screenplay, however.

Brace yourself for a frosty, ghostly adventure in the Big Apple when "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" hits theaters on March 29th.
