Hailed as one of the standout films from this year's Sundance Film Festival, "I Saw the TV Glow" offers a fresh and mind-bending experience tailored for the TV-obsessed generation raised on weird '90s shows.

Check out the official trailer for this much-buzzed-about mystery thriller, starring Justice Smith ("Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves," "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom") and Brigette Lundy-Paine ("Bill & Ted Face the Music," Netflix's "Atypical") as two teenage outcasts who forge a deep connection through their shared obsession with a scary 1990s television series, called "The Pink Opaque." In this show, a band of kids confronts a new monster in each episode, evoking a blend of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Twin Peaks." However, when their beloved series is abruptly canceled under mysterious circumstances, the line between fiction and reality begins to blur in unsettling ways.

Produced by Oscar-winner Emma Stone through her production company "Fruit Tree," known for Showtime's "The Curse" and A24's "Problemista," "I Saw the TV Glow" is the brainchild of writer-director Jane Schoenbrun, who previously made the 2021 indie horror thriller "We're All Going to the World's Fair."

The film also features supporting performances from Helena Howard ("Madeline's Madeline"), Danielle Deadwyler ("Til"), Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, Ian Foreman (Showtime's "Let the Right One In"), and "Buffy" alum Amber Benson.

Featuring new music by Sloppy Jane, Phoebe Bridgers, Snail Mail, Alex G, King Woman, and more, "I Saw the TV Glow" is set to hit theaters on May 3rd, courtesy of A24 Films.
