Tim Blake Nelson portrays a vagrant father attempting to raise his teenage daughter off the grid in the trailer for "Asleep in My Palm."

Set against the backdrop of the often overlooked vagrant community in rural America, this film delves into the relationship between a father and daughter duo as they navigate survival while living on the streets and sleeping in abandoned buildings and storage rooms.

Tim Blake Nelson, recognized for his roles in acclaimed projects like the HBO miniseries "Watchmen" and the Coen Brothers comedy "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (he also delivered a terrific performance in the underappreciated western film "Old Henry"), shares the screen with Chloe Kerwin, a rising talent from "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel." Kerwin plays Nelson's teenage daughter, who grapples with the typical challenges of adolescence while yearning for independence. Her father's staunch criticism of modern society stands in the way of a more conventional life.

The film marks the feature debut of writer-director Henry Nelson and features a supporting cast including Jared Abrahamson, Grant Harvey, Gus Birney, and David Aaron Baker.

"Asleep in My Palm" is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on March 1st, followed by its arrival on VOD on March 19th.

synopsis:
ASLEEP IN MY PALM explores the nature of parenthood and class in America as a father and daughter live off the grid in rural Ohio near a small liberal arts college. The two must face the challenges of her sexual awakening and need for independence as he escapes his violent and conflicted past. At once poignant and mordantly funny, the film delves into an America rarely seen, while juxtaposing it with the rarified privileges of an elite college in the social media age.
