Check out the official trailer for the upcoming psychological horror thriller "Amelia's Children," starring Carloto Cotta (known for Netflix's "Elite"), Brigette Lundy-Paine ("Bill & Ted Face the Music"), Anabela Moreira ("Blood of My Blood"), and Alba Baptista (star of Netflix's "Warrior Nun").

The film revolves around Edward (played by Carloto Cotta), who embarks on a quest to locate his long-lost biological family. Following a routine DNA ancestry test, Edward receives an unexpected message from his long-lost twin brother. Alongside his girlfriend (Brigette Lundy-Paine), Edward journeys to the mountainous region of Northern Portugal for a long-overdue family reunion. However, their visit takes a sinister turn when they begin to suspect that their arrival is driven by malicious motives, uncovering dark family secrets along the way.

"Amelia's Children" is both written and directed by Gabriel Abrantes, known for the unconventional soccer comedy "Diamantino," in which Carloto Cotta also played the leading role. This new film marks a departure from Abrantes' previous work, firmly planting itself in the horror genre.

synopsis:
When Edward's search for his biological family leads him and his girlfriend Ryley to a magnificent villa high in the mountains of Northern Portugal, he is full of excitement at meeting his long-lost mother and twin brother. Finally, he will discover who he is and where he comes from. But nothing is as it seems, and Edward will soon learn that he is linked to them by a monstrous secret.
