Will young people ever learn? When you mess around with spirits, things tend not to end well.

Check out the official trailer for the upcoming supernatural horror thriller "Tarot," which has the potential to become this year's next horror hit and will likely draw comparisons to last year's horror smash, "Talk to Me."

The film stars Harriet Slater (from MAX's "Pennyworth"), Adain Bradley (from HBO's "Industry"), Avantika (2024's "Mean Girls"), Humberly Gonzalez (Netflix's "Ginny & Georgia"), Larsen Thompson (Netflix's "The Midnight Club"), Wolfgang Novogratz ("Assassination Nation"), and Jacob Batalon (of the "Spider-Man" films). Together, they portray a group of friends who decide to have a bit of fun by experimenting with some old Tarot cards they stumble upon in an attic. Little did they know, this reckless act would lead them to break the cardinal rule of Tarot readings -- never use another person's deck of cards. Thus, they unknowingly unleash an unimaginable evil into their world.

The film is written and directed by writer-directors Spenser Cohen and Anna Halberg, who are making their directorial debuts. Spenser Cohen is known for his screenwriting contributions to Roland Emmerich's sci-fi thriller "Moonfall" and the Netflix alien invasion thriller "Extinction." While Anna Halberg served as a producer on "Extinction."

"Tarot" is slated to hit theaters on May 10th.

synopsis:
When a group of friends recklessly violates the sacred rule of Tarot readings -- never use someone else's deck -- they unknowingly unleash an unspeakable evil trapped within the cursed cards.
