Get ready to power up your Proton Packs, because a new "Ghostbusters" movie is on its way in a couple of months. And it seems that this latest installment is bringing the franchise right back to where it all began -- New York City!

Feast your eyes on the official full-length trailer for "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire," the eagerly-awaited sequel to Jason Reitman's 2021 franchise sequel, "Ghostbusters: Afterlife." This marks the fifth entry in the iconic "Ghostbusters" film series.

This time around, however, filmmaker Gil Kenan steps in as director, taking the baton from Reitman, who remains involved as a producer.

The story once again revolves around the Spengler family. Carrie Coon ("Gone Girl," "The Leftovers") returns as Callie Spengler, Egon's daughter, while Mckenna Grace ("I, Tonya") and Finn Wolfhard ("Stranger Things") reprise their roles as Callie's children and Egon's grandchildren, Phoebe and Trevor, respectively.

In the film, Callie, Phoebe, and Trevor journey back to the iconic New York City firehouse, where the Ghostbusters' legacy originated. They join forces with the original Ghostbusters team, played by original franchise stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts. Their mission is to thwart the "death chill," a paranormal phenomenon that can strike unpredictably, freezing anything or anyone in its path and turning them into pure ice. Their goal is to prevent the world from plunging into a second Ice Age.

Paul Rudd is also back, reprising his role as science teacher Gary Grooberson who has becomes a Ghostbuster. Logan Kim and Celeste O'Connor return as Podcast and Lucky, respectively. New faces joining the adventure include Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind, while original "Ghostbusters" actor William Atherton is back as the pigheaded bureaucrat Walter Peck.

Gil Kenan, who directs the film, also co-wrote the screenplay with Reitman. Kenan is known for his work on the critically acclaimed animated comedy "Monster House," as well as directing the 2008 post-apocalyptic fantasy film "City of Ember" and the 2015 remake of "Poltergeist." Additionally, he directed and co-wrote the British holiday fantasy film "A Boy Called Christmas."

Get ready for an icy adventure as "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" is set to premiere in theaters on March 29th.
