Check out the first official trailer for the upcoming R-rated comedy, "Ricky Stanicky," starring Zac Efron, Jermaine Fowler, Andrew Santino, and John Cena, and directed by Peter Farrelly, of "There's Something About Mary" and "Dumb and Dumber" fame.

In this new outrageous comedy, Zac Efron, Jermaine Fowler, and Andrew Santino portray three childhood friends who have maintained a little white lie over the years. It seems they have invented an imaginary best friend named "Ricky Stanicky" to help them escape from unwanted situations.

Whenever they find themselves trapped in tedious family obligations or the demands of married life, they conveniently pin the blame on their make-believe buddy, "Ricky Stanicky," who always seems to require their immediate attention. However, when their friends and loved ones begin to question the existence of "Ricky Stanicky," the trio concocts a ludicrous plan. They hire a washed-up rock-n-roll impersonator to bring "Ricky Stanicky" to life. Much to their surprise, they didn't anticipate just how erratic and unpredictable the "real" Ricky Stanicky would turn out to be, making their personal lives even more chaotic.

John Cena takes on the role of the washed-up actor embodying "Ricky Stanicky." He dives so deep into his method acting that he falls head over heels in love with his character, refusing to let go. This obsession soon becomes a living nightmare for Zac Efron, Jermaine Fowler, and Andrew Santino's characters.

"Ricky Stanicky" also co-stars Lex Scott Davis, Anja Savcic, Jeff Ross, and William H. Macy. The film is set to premiere exclusively on Amazon's Prime Video on March 7th. Watch the trailer, above.

When three childhood best friends pull a prank gone wrong, they invent the imaginary Ricky Stanicky to get them out of trouble! Twenty years after creating this 'friend,' Dean, JT, and Wes (Zac Efron, Andrew Santino, and Jermaine Fowler) still use the nonexistent Ricky as a handy alibi for their immature behavior. When their spouses and partners get suspicious and demand to finally meet the fabled Mr. Stanicky, the guilty trio decide to hire washed-up actor and raunchy celebrity impersonator "Rock Hard" Rod (John Cena) to bring him to life. But when Rod takes his role of a lifetime too far, they begin to wish they'd never invented Ricky in the first place. From director Peter Farrelly and featuring additional cast members including William H. Macy, Lex Scott Davis, and Anja Savcic.
