Get a peek behind the scenes of the highly anticipated Apple miniseries "Masters of the Air," brought to you by the makers of "Band of Brothers" and "The Pacific."

This nine-part series features a stellar cast including Austin Butler (known for "Elvis" and "Dune Part 2"), Callum Turner ("The Boys in the Boat"), and Barry Keoghan ("Saltburn"). It's based on the bestselling WWII book by Donald L. Miller and takes viewers deep into the lives of heroic WWII bomber crews.

"Masters of the Air" tells the riveting true story of the brave men who served in the 100th Bomb Group, famously known as the "Bloody Hundredth." These courageous airmen undertook perilous bombing missions into Nazi Germany, facing challenges such as freezing temperatures, oxygen shortages, and the profound fear of high-altitude aerial battles at 25,000 feet.

Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman, the producing team behind the award-winning miniseries "Band of Brothers" and "The Pacific," "Masters of the Air" also features John Orloff, the writer of "Band of Brothers," as both producer and writer.

The cast further includes Anthony Boyle, Nate Mann, Josiah Cross, Raff Law, Branden Cook, and Ncuti Gatwa.

Mark your calendars for the premiere of "Masters of the Air" on Apple TV Plus, scheduled for January 26th. You can catch a glimpse of what's in store by watching the new featurette, above.

synopsis:
Based on Donald L. Miller's book of the same name, and scripted by John Orloff, MASTERS OF THE AIR follows the men of the 100th Bomb Group (the "Bloody Hundredth") as they conduct perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany and grapple with the frigid conditions, lack of oxygen, and sheer terror of combat conducted at 25,000 feet in the air. Portraying the psychological and emotional price paid by these young men as they helped destroy the horror of Hitler's Third Reich, is at the heart of "Masters of the Air." Some were shot down and captured; some were wounded or killed. And some were lucky enough to make it home. Regardless of individual fate, a toll was exacted on them all.
