Ewan McGregor gets to share the screen with his own daughter, Clara McGregor, in the upcoming father-daughter road trip drama "Bleeding Love." The official trailer for the film has been released.

In "Bleeding Love," the "Trainspotting" star portrays an ex-addict striving to mend his strained relationship with his now-adult daughter (played by Clara McGregor, from "American Horror Story: NYC"), who is battling her own addiction issues. Just 12 hours after his daughter's near-fatal overdose, he decides to drive her across New Mexico to help her seek treatment. Along the way, they attempt to rebuild their already fractured relationship.

And surely, the performances gain an extra layer of depth and authenticity, as Ewan and Clara McGregor, who are father and daughter in real life, bring their own shared history and, like any family, a set of unresolved issues to their on-screen roles.

The cast also includes Jake Weary, Kim Zimmer, Devyn McDowell, Sasha Alexander, and Vera Bulder.

The film is directed by Emma Westenberg, known for her work as a music video and commercial director. She has directed music videos for pop stars like Janelle Monae, Halsey, and Troye Sivan.

"Bleeding Love" is set to be released on February 16th. You can watch the trailer, above.
