"Houston, we have a problem." Adam Sandler finds himself adrift in space for months, and the extreme isolation has taken its toll to the point that he questions his own sanity. But what if he isn't going crazy? Well, that raises the possibility that there's indeed a spider-like, talking alien inside his spacecraft.

Check out the official full-length trailer for "Spaceman," a trippy astronaut drama that will be arriving on Netflix soon. And it stars Sandler, in a dramatic role, as Jakub, a lone astronaut who, while exploring the far reaches of space, begins to question whether his marriage, which he left behind, will still be waiting for him upon his return to Earth. In his quest to grapple with his relationship with his wife, he receives unexpected assistance from a mysterious ancient alien being he encounters hiding inside his spaceship. But does this telepathic alien truly exist? Or has Jakub been out in space too long that his mental condition is collapsing before his eyes?

Based on the sci-fi novel "Spaceman of Bohemia" by the renowned Czech writer Jaroslav Kalfar, the Netflix original film is directed by acclaimed Swedish director Johan Renck, best known for his work on the Emmy Award-winning mini-series "Chernobyl."

Carey Mulligan, who is currently receiving a lot of Oscar buzz and award nominations for her performance in "Maestro," costars in the film as Sandler's wife, Lenka . Meanwhile, Paul Dano lends his voice as Hanus , the spider-like alien who communicates to Sandler's character through telepathic means.

"Spaceman" is slated for a Netflix streaming release on March 1st.
