Amazon Studios has released the official full-length trailer for "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," Donald Glover's upcoming small screen adaptation of the 2005 film originally starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. This new series takes a comedic approach to the story, focusing on two seemingly random spies from the same agency who find themselves having to pretend to be a married couple during a mission, despite being far from prepared for such a role.

Donald Glover and Maya Erskine ("PEN15") team up as undercover field agents in this Amazon original series. They adopt the identities of "John and Jane Smith," posing as a married couple with supposed backgrounds in software engineering. As they navigate their mission, the facade they've constructed becomes increasingly challenging to maintain, and their true feelings for each other begin to surface.

The series boasts an impressive cast of guest stars, including John Turturro, Paul Dano, Alexander Skarsgard, Eiza Gonzalez, Sarah Paulson, Sharon Horgan, Ron Perlman, and many others.

Donald Glover takes on multiple roles as he not only stars but also writes and co-showruns the series alongside Francesca Sloane, a fellow writer-producer from "Atlanta."

"Mr. & Mrs. Smith" is set to make its exclusive premiere on Prime Video on February 2nd, offering viewers a humorous twist on this spy-vs-spy story.

synopsis:
Two lonely strangers land a job working for a mysterious spy agency that offers them a glorious life of espionage, wealth, world travels and a dream brownstone in Manhattan. The catch: new identities in an arranged marriage as Mr. & Mrs. John and Jane Smith. Now hitched, John and Jane navigate a high risk mission every week while also facing a new relationship milestone. Their complex cover story becomes even more complicated when they catch real feelings for each other. What's riskier, espionage or marriage?
