In this unsettling psychological thriller, the friendship between two women living next door to each other is strained to the breaking point following a horrifying tragedy involving one of their children.

Take a look at the official trailer for "Mothers' Instinct," featuring the onscreen collaboration of Academy Award winners Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway. They play two dear friends whose idyllic lives in 1960s suburbia are shattered by a tragic accident.

The film marks the directorial debut of acclaimed French-born cinematographer Benoit Delhomme, known for his work in films such as "At Eternity's Gate," "The Theory of Everything," "The Proposition," "The Scent of Green Papaya," and more.

In "Mothers' Instinct," which is based on the 2018 Belgian film, Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway depict the characters of Alice and Celine, both deeply devoted mothers of young children. However, when Celine witnesses Alice's son tragically fall from a balcony and lose his life, their friendship is shattered in an instant. In the aftermath, Celine begins to suspect that Alice holds her responsible and may seek revenge on one of her own children. Gradually, guilt and paranoia creep in, straining the relationship between the two women.
