Long before the advent of "The Real Housewives" reality series, there were "The Swans" in the 1960s. And their lives were equally hedonistic and self-indulgent.

Check out the official trailer for "Capote Vs. The Swans," the second season of the anthology FX series "Feud" created by Ryan Murphy. This series aims to fictionalize real-life scandalous stories and intense feuds between public figures.

In this new season, the drama delves into the conflict between the renowned writer and socialite Truman Capote and New York City's most elite women, whom he famously dubbed "the Swans." During the mid-1960s, Capote penned a magazine expose that unveiled the scandalous secrets of the women he referred to as the Swans. They were the creme de la creme of society's housewives, with connections to the most influential people in America. Capote laid bare their salacious love lives and aired their dirty laundry, causing the women to be less than pleased. As a result, Capote found himself ostracized from New York's high society.

Directed by Gus Van Sant, Max Winkler, and Jennifer Lynch, the series boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Naomi Watts, Diane Lane, Chloe Sevigny, Calista Flockhart, Demi Moore, and Molly Ringwald.

British actor Tom Hollander, known for his recent role in the second season of "The White Lotus," takes on the role of Truman Capote. The series also features one of the final performances of the late actor Treat Williams, who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident in June 2023.

Based on the bestselling book "Capote's Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era" by Laurence Leamer and written by Jon Robin Baitz, "Capote Vs. The Swans" is scheduled to premiere on January 31 on FX on Hulu.
