Prepare to be chilled to the bone as a young novice nun stumbles upon a sinister conspiracy with dire consequences for the world.

Check out the spine-tingling first official trailer for "The First Omen," a new supernatural horror film that serves as a prequel to the iconic 1976 horror movie "The Omen," where an American ambassador believes his 5-year-old son is the Antichrist.

In this reimagined prequel, Nell Tiger Free, star of the M. Night Shyamalan-produced Apple series "Servant," takes on her first leading role in a major studio film. She portrays a young American woman sent to Rome to dedicate her life to the church, only to uncover a horrifying conspiracy intent on bringing forth the birth of pure evil.

Joining Nell Tiger Free in the cast are Tawfeek Barhom, Sonia Braga, Bill Nighy, and Ralph Ineson.

Produced by David S. Goyer ("Foundation" and "The Dark Knight") and Keith Levine ("The Night House"), this thriller is directed and co-written by Arkasha Stevenson, who is making her feature directorial debut after directing episodes for TV series like "Legion," "Channel Zero: Butcher's Block," and "Brand New Cherry Flavor."

Mark your calendars for the release of "The First Omen," which is scheduled to haunt theaters on April 5th.
