Boasting solid CGI effects and creature designs, the forthcoming film is directed by Thai filmmaker Chookiat Sakveerakul, known for his twisted Thai horror film "13 Beloved." The director dives headfirst into the science fiction genre, employing an abundance of CGI -- a unique and ambitious endeavor for a Thai production.

The film features a mostly all Thai cast, including Paula Taylor, Peter Corp Dyrendal, War-Wanarat Ratsameerat, Natcha Nina Jessica Padowan, Wit-Phutharit Prombandal, Sai-Intira Charoenpura, and Nara Thepnupha.

"Taklee Genesis" revolves around a clandestine U.S. military government project called Project Taklee Genesis, which commenced operations during the Vietnam War. For decades, rumors have circulated that it was a facility dedicated to experimenting with faster-than-light travel.

"Taklee Genesis" is set to hit theaters sometime in 2024, although as of now, no U.S. release date has been revealed.
