Acclaimed writer-director Lulu Wang, known for her highly acclaimed semi-biographical drama "The Farewell" in 2019, is set to make a return in early 2024 with a new Amazon original miniseries that delves into the lives of "expats" residing in Hong Kong.

Check out the first official trailer for Lulu Wang's latest project, "Expats." This six-episode miniseries stars Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue, and Ji-young Yoo as three female expatriates who have made Hong Kong their home, yet continue to grapple with profound feelings of alienation and social exclusion.

The upcoming series boasts a strong ensemble cast including Brian Tee, Jack Huston, Flora Chan, Amelyn Pardenilla, and Ruby Ruiz.

"Expats" is based on the novel "The Expatriates" by Janice Y. K. Lee, author of "The Piano Teacher." The series marks the return of writer-director Lulu Wang, offering her first substantial work since her award-winning film "The Farewell" in 2019.
