Netflix has released the official trailer for the upcoming British dystopian drama "The Kitchen." This film is a co-directorial effort between Kibwe Tavares, an architect-turned-filmmaker, and Oscar-winning actor Daniel Kaluuya ("Get Out" and "Judas and the Black Messiah"), both making their feature directorial debuts.

Set in the not-so-distant future, the story revolves around a destitute economic enclave known as the "Kitchen," nestled within a dystopian version of London where the wealth gap has reached extreme proportions.

The cast features British rapper Kane "Kano" Robinson and newcomer Jedaiah Bannerman in the roles of a father and son trying to navigate the perilous streets of the Kitchen, which has evolved into one of the most crime-ridden areas in London.

"The Kitchen" is due to premiere on Netflix on January 19th. Watch the official trailer, above.
