Amazon has released the official teaser trailer for "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," the upcoming spy action-comedy series inspired by the 2005 film of the same name. This time, Donald Glover, the creator and star of "Atlanta," and Maya Erskine, co-creator and star of "Pen15," step into the leading roles for this small-screen adaptation.
Co-created and written by showrunners Donald Glover and Francesca Sloane (a writer-producer from "Atlanta"), this streaming series revolves around John and Jane Smith, a married couple who find themselves trapped in a humdrum existence, only to discover that they are both highly trained assassins hired by rival agencies to eliminate each other.
In addition to Glover and Erskine, the ensemble cast is a powerhouse, featuring notable names like Parker Posey, Wagner Moura, Michaela Coel, John Turturro, Paul Dano, Alexander Skarsgard, Eiza Gonzalez, Sarah Paulson, Sharon Horgan, Ron Perlman, Billy Campbell, and Ursula Corbero.
