It's the classic "Game of Thrones" formula, which means another season, another conflict for the throne among family members. However, this time, it's a war fought by dragons. And it's safe to say that no one will emerge from this unscathed.

Behold the first official teaser trailer for Season 2 of HBO's hit "Game of Thrones" prequel-spinoff series, "House of the Dragon," inspired by George R.R. Martin's 2018 novel "Fire & Blood," which delves into the history of House Targaryen.

In this series, Emma D'Arcy assumes the role of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, who finds herself at the heart of a Targaryen civil war where both sides possess formidable dragons. The question isn't just about who is worthy of the throne but who will survive long enough to even have a chance at claiming it.

The returning cast includes Matt Smith (as Daemon Targaryen), Olivia Cooke (as Dowager Queen Alicent Hightower), Eve Best (as Princess Rhaenys Targaryen), Rhys Ifans (as Ser Otto Hightower), Steve Toussaint (as Lord Corlys Velaryon), Ewan Mitchell (as Prince Aemond Targaryen), Tom Glynn-Carney (as King Aegon II Targaryen), Phoebe Campbell (as Lady Rhaena Targaryen), and many more.

Executive produced by franchise creator George R. R. Martin and screenwriter Ryan Condal, "House of the Dragon" is set to return with its second season sometime in the summer of 2024. In the meantime, dive into the trailer and get ready for another intense journey in the world of Westeros!
