Prepare for an intense ride because Amazon's ultra-violent superhero satire series, "The Boys," is far from toning things down; in fact, they're just gearing up for more madness.
Check out the official teaser for the highly anticipated fourth season of "The Boys," featuring Antony Starr's return as the world-renowned superhero Homelander, who harbors a chilling secret as a homicidal psychopath. Last we saw him, Homelander had publicly unveiled his murderous tendencies, becoming a symbol of chaos and societal unrest. From the looks of it, things are only going to escalate from here.
Karl Urban reprises his role as the anti-superhero vigilante Billy Butcher, set to be reunited with an old friend portrayed by "Walking Dead" star Jeffrey Dean Morgan, making his series debut. It's also a "Supernatural" reunion, as Morgan reunites with "The Boys" showrunner Eric Kripke.
Season 4 introduces new cast members, including Susan Heyward ("Orange Is the New Black") as Sister Sage, Valorie Curry ("The Following") as Firecracker, and Claudia Doumit returning as congresswoman Victoria Neuman. Erin Moriarty and Jack Quaid also make a comeback as Starlight and Hughie, alongside Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Colby Minifie, and Karen Fukuhara.
What happens in a world where the truth about the greatest superhero, Homelander, being a homicidal psychopath is out in the open? And when he's teamed up with a young boy who may be even more sinister...what's next? Brace yourself for the insanity.
Based on the comic book series by "Preacher" creator Garth Ennis, "The Boys: Season 4" is slated for release sometime in 2024, exclusively on Prime Video.
