Amazon Studios has unveiled the first official teaser trailer for "Fallout," an eagerly awaited post-apocalyptic sci-fi action series inspired by the immensely popular video game franchise of the same name.

This upcoming streaming series boasts executive producer Jonathan Nolan, co-creator of HBO's "Westworld," who also takes the director's chair for the first three episodes. The show features an impressive ensemble cast, including Ella Purnell ("Yellowjackets"), Walton Goggins ("The Hateful Eight"), and Aaron Moten ("Emancipation"), along with Moises Arias ("The King of Staten Island"), Kyle MacLachlan ("Twin Peaks"), Zach Cherry ("Severance"), Sarita Choudhury ("Homeland"), Michael Emerson ("Person of Interest"), and more.

Set two centuries after the apocalypse, this sci-fi drama delves into the tale of societal divisions, focusing on those who once dwelled in opulent fallout shelters. They are compelled to return to the irradiated wasteland their forebears abandoned, only to be greeted by a remarkably intricate, delightfully bizarre, and exceedingly violent world.

Nolan assumes the role of executive producer alongside his wife and "Westworld" co-creator Lisa Joy and acclaimed video gamer creator Todd Howard. Geneva Robertson-Dworet ("Captain Marvel") and Graham Wagner ("Portlandia") serve as the series' writers and co-showrunners.

"Fallout" is scheduled for a global premiere on Prime Video in the spring of next year, beginning on April 12th. In the meantime, you can watch the teaser, above.
