Seth MacFarlane has joined forces with Peacock to bring us a new comedy series based on the wildly popular "Ted" film franchise, which revolves around the mischievous, foul-mouthed teddy bear named Ted and his human best friend, John Bennett.

In this upcoming "Ted" series, set in the early 1990s, we find John as a socially awkward 16-year-old high school student (played by Max Burkholder) residing in his hometown of Framingham, Massachusetts. He attends school alongside his best friend, Ted, who, once again, is a talking, crude-talking teddy bear, with Seth MacFarlane lending his voice to the character.

The cast includes Scott Grimes from "The Orville" and Alanna Ubach from "Euphoria" as John's parents, Matty and Susan, with Giorgia Whigham portraying cousin Blaire.

Promising to maintain the irreverent and raunchy humor of the "Ted" films while exploring Ted's relationship with a teenage John, the new Peacock series is set to debut on January 11th, exclusively on Peacock. Be sure to check out the official trailer, above, for a sneak peek.

synopsis:
In this comedic prequel event series to the "Ted" films, it's 1993, and Ted the bear's (Seth MacFarlane) moment of fame has passed. He's now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), along with John's parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach) and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham). Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he's a loyal pal who's always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.
